Thanasis Papakonstantinou is one of the most well known, and influential, poetic Greek singer-songwriters of the past 20 years. Even though he was trained to be an engineer, in the end he chose to pursue his real passion; Music. His compositions combine Greek traditional folk and rebetika with Jazz, Rock and even eastern influences. This combination of different styles of music makes Thanasis a unique appearance in the greek music scene. He has worked together with some of the most famous Greek artists such as Sokratis Malamas, Nikos Papazoglou, Giannis Aggelakas, Melina Kana and Lizeta Kilimeri. In live performances he is accompanied by his band, which is composed of a group of musicians belonging to the zenith of the Greek music scene.
