De muziek van Thanos Mikroutsikos is tijdloos. Zijn werk spreekt generaties lang met dezelfde kracht en emotie aan en laat een blijvende indruk achter—zo sterk dat het bijna iets magisch lijkt.

Rita Antonopoulou, die van 2006 tot aan zijn overlijden nauw met hem samenwerkte, brengt nu een volledig eerbetoon aan deze onvergetelijke componist—voor het eerst zonder hem op het podium. Zoals zij zelf zegt, zijn daar twee redenen voor: ze voelt zich er nu klaar voor en haar bijzondere muzikale samenwerking met de uitstekende band Revans.

Revans koestert al jarenlang een diepe liefde voor het oeuvre van Mikroutsikos en geeft zijn iconische liederen een eigen, herkenbare muzikale kleur. Samen met Rita Antonopoulou ontstaat een krachtige en meeslepende voorstelling die het publiek opnieuw het gevoel wil geven dat Thanos Mikroutsikos nog altijd dichtbij is.

De afgelopen twee jaar reisde deze productie langs vele podia en nam zij het publiek mee op een magische reis door de muzikale wereld van Thanos Mikroutsikos. Dankzij de oprechte toewijding en de bijzondere muzikale chemie tussen Rita Antonopoulou en Revans groeide deze voorstelling uit tot een onvergetelijke ervaring voor iedereen die haar bijwoonde.

The music of Thanos Mikroutsikos is timeless. His work continues to speak with the same emotional power across generations, leaving such a profound mark that it can almost be described as magical.

Having worked closely alongside him from 2006 until the end of his life, Rita Antonopoulou has decided to present a complete tribute to the unforgettable composer—this time without him on stage. As she explains, there are two reasons: first, she now feels ready to undertake this tribute, and second, her musical collaboration with the exceptional band Revans.

For many years, Revans have approached Mikroutsikos’ music with deep love and respect, bringing their own distinctive sound to his iconic songs. Together with Rita Antonopoulou, they create a powerful and captivating performance that aims to make us all feel the presence of Thanos Mikroutsikos once again, just as we did before.

Over the past two years, this production has been presented in numerous venues, taking audiences on a magical journey through the world of Thanos Mikroutsikos. The heartfelt performances and the unique musical chemistry between Rita Antonopoulou and Revans have made this tribute a memorable experience for everyone who has attended.

There could be no more fitting way to conclude this successful tour than by presenting it in one of Europe’s most historic and iconic venues.
