After years of absence, Thanasis Papakonstantinou is preparing to return to Amsterdam. With the addition of new partners and a renewed program, note for note – the “battle” for dreams will be fought.

Thanasis Papakonstantinou is one of the best-known Greek singer-songwriters of the past 20 years. His compositions bring together diverse influences ranging from free jazz improvisations and post-rock to Greek folk music and popular ballads, the West with the East, a fusion in which traditional Greek and Turkish/Arab music is mixed with rempetika.

What emerges from the synergy of so many different types of music, actually emerging from different musical styles, leads to something entirely new, which cannot be covered by existing music terminology. Together with an amazing group of collaborative artist-musicians, Thanasis Papakonstantinou presents a program of songs from his entire recording history. Their live performances are always unforgettable. Liveliness, dance and improvisation are some of the things to expect
