Social Waste is a Greek hip-hop/low-bap band formed in 1999 in Heraklion, Crete. They started performing as teenagers, quickly gaining attention in the Greek hip-hop scene. Their music blends contemporary hip-hop beats with Mediterranean influences, often incorporating traditional instruments, and their lyrics are known for strong social and political commentary. Common themes include social justice, migration, inequality, and political awareness.
